I would enkindle every human being
With the spirit of the cosmos,
That we might be as flames
And enfold our beings essence
As a flame.
Others would take water from the cosmos
To quench that flame
And make all beings
Watery and dull within.
Oh joy! To see the human flame
Burning brightly even when at rest.
Oh bitterness ! to see the human being
Become a thing
Bound
When we would be free.
